I was thinking how I wish I had a bar for our band and then my thoughts went here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJ03Sdf_wlg

So I wrote some new lyrics:

If I Only Had a Bar

When our band is Splintered Sunlight
I should be happy all night
And yet I'm torn apart.
Just because we’ll discontinue
And we’ll need a brand new venue!!
If I only had a bar!!
I’d be smokin - I'd be dancin
And hopefully romancin
In our Splintered Bar.
I'd welcome all the Deadheads
And kiss all the red heads ...
If I only had a bar!

Picture me - Mike Borowski.
Above a voice sings low.
Must be Butchy Sochorow
I hear a beat....
How sweet.
Just to enjoy Jerry Horan
Mike Kennedy Tony Gioia
And Anders Alfelt
I’d serve carnivores and veggies
and I wouldn’t feel so edgy,
If I only had a bar.
Wherever you go, there you are!

Do? Why, if I had a bar.....

I could while away the hours, deck the place with flowers
Hearing a great guitar.
And brownies I’d be mixin ‘cause
Our heads I’d be fixin
If I only had a bar.
I would feel so very gallant
Bringing in new talent,
From near and from far.
With the music we’d be hearing
We’d be clapping and cheering
If I only had a bar.
Oh, I could tell you why we need a big dance floor.
I could drink some drinks I never drunk before.
And then I'd sit, and drink some more.
I would not be so uneasy
My gut all sick and queasy
My thoughts dark as they are
I would dance and be merry, life would be a ding-a-derry,
If I only had a bar.
Wherever you go, there you are!

Yeah, it's sad, believe me, hippie,
When you're worn and not so zippy
Cause your goal seems too far.
But I could hug you all hello
And then put on the best show
If I only had a bar.
I'm afraid there's no denyin'
With no space we’ll all be cryin’
So I’ll wish on a star.
We’ll be freaky and bizarre
We’ll be bright as a quasar
We’ll love us just as we are
If the bright star is a right star bright and far.

Then we’re sure to get a bar,
a place,
a home,
Our bar!
Wherever you go, there you are!

Thanks to everyone for feedback and for another good Thursday. We will definitely have a budget for Splintered promotion in 2010. The kithchen will be open in January as well. Happy Thanksgiving to you and you families.

Damn y'all~

Annie i love your passion & creativity. ARE you a scorpio?!?!?

all i can say is i love coming when i can, and no i don't drink so there goes my contribution to the *bar* but i would fer sure put some pizza into my phatass, whenever i can get there, and even though for the forseeable future i won't be there (imagine that, a full time job has a downside!) my heart supports brownies and, always Splintered Sunlight!!!!!!!!!!!!
