Absolutely amazing! A rare early for me, and couldnt have picked a finer time to be there! Knew it was gonna be good on the way in, when Kristyn passed me as soon as the road broke into two lanes (she didnt know it was me, but it's okay, she still loves me  )! Also knew a special bday celebration was on tap for Annemarie, (and Tommy D, if he showed...alas, next time, as well as Lady Cheryl!)
After last week's inaugural performance, I was instantly a happy hippy to see this group together again! Welcome back, Dan & Bob & Woohoo Terry!!! Caught some face time with some great friends before the opening notes could steal my face! Missed micheleinabucket instantly, but always always the start of a real special night musically...a favorite show opener!! Cuz, of course, it comes across as a show closer, and that's what is so great about Splintered: they always open with a closer and just keep getting better from there!!
This show was so great and i am so excited to give it a brief :roflmao: :roflmao: review, but gotta run for now, so promise to come back and edit til it's done! but woohoo!!! thank you so much for last night, boyz!!
So Bucket is a great opener, and as I wonder how tight the vocals will be tonight, Cumberland Blues rolls out...woohoo!! and the race is on, into woohoo Jack-a-roe..this couple they got married, so well did they agree...to a bouncy el paso, so why dont we...swing to alittle Altheeeea drums through and through absolutely dead on!! Even spotted Terry big time on backup vocals...so inspiring!! Now dont get me wrong, but if you came upon a meditating monk, you wouldnt just pop right up, smack em on the back, and give em a hugg...right?? well, some of us do some pretty tight meditating in the splintered sunlight spirit, and it can be a pretty rude awakening to be snapped back to reality abrupt interruption style is all i'm sayin, half a sec and the band will take a break in their playin, and the greeting can be that much more intimate...Woohoo!! BTW...another awesome treat!! And one more before set break, Dont ease me into alittle birthday celebration with Annemarie and Montana! And to help Glen celebrate the return of Larry...and to help Tree commemorate the life of Spider, some extra twirl into the evening magic!!

Set break into ChinaCat, always a launching pad for some grateful jammin', just the kind of second set we need, with of course a Ryder chaser...woohoo!! Just about the time you wish you were, playin in the band rolls out...just most awesome!! The Wheel inspiring a twirlathon! Dig that crazy beat...anybody seen sean...Women Smarter...just love love love it!! into drumz...perfect...most kewl jams, and really the whole time I'm thinking how Terry's keyboard wizardry would cook up an awesome spacejam and that he should join them as earlier as possible!! So to make up, he comes back and lays it all down in a unique, signature-stamped version of Dear Mr. Fantasy as you could want! (okay, sure it had an Ander's moment for me too, but WOW!!!) Nicely as nicely could be done, Sir DeAngelo! And that just started it all down the line, as Butchy then followed with a signature, unexpressably fantastical Morning Dew (Dew Club aptly represented by everyone there)! Next down the line, a fine fine Good Lovin by Dan the Man! Really rockin!! Was expecting Bob to sing the encore, but alas...not to be...let bob sing!!! So Satisfaction was kind of ironic, as after an evening like that, we certainly did have plenty of Satisfaction!! Knew Stevie was happy!!
A couple of kewl evening reflections, magic acts and magical readings in the lot, feeling the tickle of the compressive soundwaves coming off of Butchy's Amp...12 feet away on the dance floor!!!!....meeting a newbie father for his first show by Sharee(I believe), proud as can be! It was just another typical terrific thursday night thriller in ardmore! Thank you, Splintered Sunlight! You rock!!
Gratefully yours,
Dashiki Joe
