The Dead @ Spectrum 5/1/09

Postby peacenlove » Mon May 04, 2009 11:18 pm

It was great to be in the Spectrum one last time for me. I do however understand why they have to close: for safety reasons and all. I ended up missing a few steps and tearing ligaments in my leg: because there are no handrails, the wetness and no step lighting. It was downright dangerous!
I do love the Spectrum and have some fond memories of seeing everything from the Ice Capades, The Barnum & Bailey Circus -{with Gunthur Gable-Williams} and even my first concert: which was Queen w/ Billy Squire- opening. I fee like I grew up in the Spectrum. I will always the cherish the time spent there. It will always be one of my favorite venues of all time.
Well, here are a few pictures from Friday 5/1/09. Enjoy!

Miss Lynne, I was heartbroken when I saw you sitting crying in the hallway with your leg all swollen and the medics around you. I thought for sure your leg was broken and you were off to the hospital. I wanted to ease your pain. But to my surprise, an hour later you were walking up to the section next to our seats, smiling and ready to groove. I am so glad you got to enjoy the rest of the show.

J & L- Patrick is beyond sweet. Tom and I enjoyed meeting him and hanging with all of you. What a grate weekend.

I lost my mind there September 1987. Can I sue? Would this claim be to old?

You know, I really should just let anything you say go, dear annie, but yes, just as I was conveniently there when you needed help last year clearing property, just as I am conveniently there when any of my friends are moving to help them with that, and, especially when it is in my area of expertise, I would hope that I could conveniently be there to help when any of my friends have legal problems, just as the band we love so much is conveniently there each and every thursday night when we need them, just as you are conveniently there when your clients need counseling you are there for them. I am a lawyer and proud of it. I help people first and foremost but do not go around chasing ambulances. If anyone was sick, we would help and encourage them to seek medical treatment. If anyone has a legal problem, similarly, we would help and encourage them to seek legal advice. Was there another point you care to make??

And sorry about the mind thingy, Lynne....probably some sort of pre-existing condition or assumption of the risk!!
Gratefully yours,

I don't know which is funnier, the pre-existing condition or the assumption of risk! :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

Brother Joe, did I detect a little defensive posturing in your last post? I don't think it was necessary... in my happy little mind Annie was just pointing out the syncronicity of need & skills in our family, not diggin atcha for your profession.

(And if she was, I'm still willing to bet she was smiling!)

Joe, we all know you break the mold of... well everything! and I'd be thrilled to have you on my side in court, on a dance floor, at a campsite, hell, any ol where. (And I'm not even soliciting for moving help!)

Peace, kids.

Not that I should have to defend myself.... I was just letting Lynne know you, Joe, are a lawyer. I'm not sure she knows this as she rarely associates with you.

Apparently you assume bad things about me but I know that's on you and I'm not taking it personally.

The Four Agreements - Don Miguel Ruiz's Code for Life

agreement 1

Be impeccable with your word - Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

agreement 2

Don’t take anything personally - Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.

agreement 3

Don’t make assumptions - Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

agreement 4

Always do your best - Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.
Wherever you go, there you are!

My apologies!! As you might be able to imagine, I'm alittle hypersensitive to the lawyer thingy...i try not to go around wearing a freakin shingle, but alot of bad apples in our profession have the more conscientious attorneys having to take some of the flack as well. Same message, just slightly different perspective....it's all about being there for each other! Peace!
