"I'm sorry, Mike B., but we are no longer accepting requests to leave Splintered Sunlight at this time."

Excellent response.

Oh, Mikey B,
I knew the day would come when you'd grow your wings and fly away to greet a new dawn. I wish for you the very best of everything. You are a fabulous musician and person. It was really fun seeing you play with Splintered Sunlight as well as The Dirk Quinn Band. Your version of "Easy to Love You " is one of my favorites. Thank you for playing at the Who Hill parties. I'll never forget your Michael Jackson impression with the "Ov-Glove" around the campfire early in the morning. Stay as sweet as you are and keep on smiling!

I'll miss you, so much, Mike B.! You are so wonderful to watch. You have provided us with many laughs, emotional moments, and ALWAYS with beautiful music. Best of luck to you, in all that you do...

And, I agree with Corrine... how about a "Linus and Lucy"? Me and Dad were discussing this a while back when we realized we could come tomorrow night.

Anyway, see you then & many more times!

I haven't been on the board this week, so the news hit me by surprise last night. I'll miss your keyboard playing, your singing, and everything else you contribute to the good sounds and the good vibe of Splintered Sunlight. Best of luck out there in the music world - and keep us all posted on your future projects. And don't hesitate to come around Brownies and share the dance floor with us! StSteven

Damn,

Another Splintered Brother bites the dust. While its sad to see you go, I wish you the best on your new musical paths. Very bittersweet. Long as you promise to grace the stage once in a while with the boys, that will be awesome.

Your a great guy with a winning attitude. That will take you far.

All the Best,

Dave

Geez, I'm away from the computer for a bit and BAM! News comes through, rocking my world... and not in a good way!

Mikey, I could be all mature and thank you for the deadication shown, the magnificent playing, the many, many splendid soaring keyboard jams that sent my spirit soaring and end by wishing you well in future endeavors BUT the announcement has me wanting to stomp my feet in a tantrum and say "No, No, No, No, No, No, No!"

Hmm... I wonder which will win? :roflmao: (<<crying & throwing a fit; someone paste in tears)

Hippie hugs and best wishes to you, Mike...

WOW! :???: This is a shock. You are a wonderful young musician and you should spread your wings if you have great venues and directions you need to take. I am happy for you that you have exciting new avenues, but we, I are really going to miss you. You are big shoes to fill although you usually don't wear any.

I know you love us and you know we love you too, and that we will certainly see more of you back at Brownies and at your new gigs. It will all be good. Thanks so much for all your friendship and sharing your artistry with us, it has been a wonderful musical blessing.

Among other things, you are the greatest throw back rag time pianist I've seen in this scene, and you would have got laid so much back in the 1850's playing in the saloons.

God Bless and all the best, Johnny J

Thank you ALL for the many kind words of appreciation and support. You are all truly family to me, and I promise you... this is not goodbye. I hope to see you at the next two shows at Brownies, Jan. 1 and Jan. 7! I'd love to see all your faces. I love you all very much...

Here's to a glorious New Year!

love,
Mikey B
