thanks as always for a Real Good Time ~ however apparently i won't be back anymore as I was banned by "Travis" the door dood for letting him know on my way out how rude and unprofessional he was for not wanting to accept my rolled coins for admission, as I had no paper money, which, according to him, is all they accept.(?!)

anyWHO, guess i was asking for it by speaking to him again(?!) on my way out so there ya go.

so, perhaps I will get to see your great music and fabulous family elsewhere down the road, just not on thursdays anymore~

musically last night was very tight ..the jam into Big River was a BIG highlight (:

funny, ya know I really didn't think last night was gonna be doable for me, but my 2nd client of care giving ended early at nine, and as that work can be so draining on my heart & spirit, i figgered, hey why not get some live music fill, and, although i was (paper money!) cash poor until today, when I remembered the coins my sweet hubby worked so hard to roll during our, um, *down week* of cash, it seemed like the stars had aligned for me!

turned out, not so much.

oh but let me thank the semi~skeptical, mildly~mocking Matt who at least got a reading so I could pay sweet and kind Sean back, as HE supplied the paper money to travis when he tried to kick me out 1/2 way through the first set~

one love & thanks again, Splintered Sunlight!

wow...sorry to hear that Jill. I thought coins were legit...who knew?? I am sure I have paid with a $5 and 4 quarters before...weird distinction.
I hope to hear that ruling reversed...

Jill, I'm sorry.....I didn't know any of that was going down. Even a testy exchange doesn't sound like a ban-able offense. Hopefully it can all be made good with a new day and new perspective - and you got Raquel on the case!

Good time last night.....Rachael came out with two friends who really enjoyed themselves. Hopefully they'll be back.

See y'all tonight.

Wow! I was thinking, "damn, i barely or rarely make it on time as it was, let alone how it is!" Didnt find out til just now I only missed Iko Iko! So the seemingly long first set sort of tipped me off i didnt miss too much!

Totally oblivious to Jillicious travesties in action...sorry, Jill! Okay, so my first reaction is that we all pay in rolled pennies next week...one after the other after the other after the other...yeah, you'll get quite a rant from me when you start picking on family like jill!!

Now where was I?! oh yeah....Splintered Sunlight...Woohoo!!! He's Gone and Black Peter!!! Splintered heaven! and a heavenly way to start the long labor day weekend!! Enjoyed the splintered configuration...just, dudes...if there is a mike in front of you...duh...USE IT!! Harmonies require more than two..that's a duet....and more than three makes it merrier!! Hmmm...just like encores...two...not bad....three or more...splintered nirvana!! Bass and Bobby Jobs nicely filled! Jer and Tony really working the beats back there! Woohoo!! Butchy as inspiring and mesmerizing as ever!! There's always some sweet surprise from Terry (yes we know you can sing!!) Thanks, family!! You rock!! Forever Family ~ Forever Grateful!!

edited to remove flaming rant!!!

Hmm, anyone else find it odd that they won't accept quarters, yet they have change machines for the pool tables that take dollars and dispense . . . QUARTERS!

Perhaps these quarters just magically appear somehow?

Feh, don't worry Jill, you'll be back. Take it from someone who was kicked out and was back the next week. It will get straightened.

And DJ, I appreciate your frustration, but hey, let's not assume the venue is responsible for the actions of the bouncer, maybe he was acting on his own volition. Let's hope so anyway.

And I thought the early start time was band's decision. But maybe not . . .
It's an obsession but it's pleasin' . . .

Yeah, sorry...tough week, but you can't go picking on any of our splintered peeps, especially Jill!!!, and not hear about it!!! and hey, at least we do get a menu offering, and pretty spiffy tv's to watch all that sports on!! But i'm seriously gonna pay in pennies this week!! Rock and roll your pennies, peeps!! hehehe :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:
Oh, and p.s., a bar is absolutely responsible for all of it's employees, including bouncers.

Jill, I spoke with the owner at Brownies regarding last Thursday's incident. She has offered her apologies and will not be scheduling Travis on Thursday nights anymore, effective immediately. Not only are you not banned, the next Thursday you're available to come out, you will attend as a guest of the band's. Once again, sorry...

Nice! Told ya it would work out. See, nothing wrong with rolling your own. . .

Bye Travis!

PS DJ, I was not saying they are not responsible for him, only that he was acting on his own, without the bar's consent. Which clearly seems to be the case. Bouncers tend to have control issues--that's why they bounce.

I truly can't think of ANY time this band has not had our backs.
And some of our backs have needed them than once!
