Hello all dear Splintered Family: We truly are roaming aimless tonight without being able to spread our smiles and love to the the family and be blessed by our amazing band. I was locked and loaded to go checked the web site and WHAM!!

Shocking news. The feeling of missing this with all of you is a buzzkill. Yea.

First of all to the band. You are not the reason and enjoy the break.. NIght clubs is a tough business especially in a tough economy. I am sure you were helping the cause. Thanks for delivering such a high level of music every outing. You are consumate professional musicians that play and sing this music with all your effort and from the heart. Our hearts are in it with you as well.

We are also very thankful to Brownies and its people for the many great years.

The band is on the case and some lucky bar is going to blessed with our presence soon and we can look forward to that. In the meantime get to as many of the other venues until our new home to support the band and each other. I look forward to seeing many of you at these places.

My two cents on new locations from many I talk to would be somewhere in the King of Prussia area. Or at least somewhere near the Pa Turnpike or 476 at route 30 or north. Many I know come from north and west of Brownies. The band comes in from NJ and even Warminster around 611 is interesting. I think others should provide input on this.

Ok I guess I will just stay home and watch the eagles on DVR after a little View to the Vault to take care of my dead fix tonite. I wish I would have known we could have scheduled a party. Until we meet and celebrate life again. Love, JJ

So, does this mean that we get another round of Splintered when they open their doors again?

Denny,

Interesting Comment from the Brownies Site and makes you wonder.....
A few weeks rennovation is something that should or could have been communicated to a band that was considered a regular act there. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Unless we get updates from the band on what is happening, we can only speculate.

"Closed for Renovations" is code for "closed."

If they were only closing for a short while I think they would have told the band this, not "we're closing."

All speculation of course and I hope SS is there again, but I'm not holding my breath.

According to their Web site, the "grand re-opening" is Jan 12.

On the calendar, for Thursday nights, it says this:

"JAM ON THURSDAYS!

Local Jam Bands such as Splintered Sunlight, Anders and Friends, Matt Santry, Led Zepplin Tribute Bands!
Schedule changes every week so be sure to check our band schedule!
Every Thursday 'til midnight"

Hmmm
